Laughing Sunrise is an independent design studio run by Artemis Hatfield, a designer & artist from the UK, currently based in Southampton.

Artemis’ areas of expertise include branding, publication, and poster design, but they’re always up for exploring other types of projects and have connections with a network of other creatives for if any part of a project needs an extra set of skills brought in. This could include product/editorial photography, illustration, VFX, animation, and more.

Will new or improved design help my company grow?

Yes! If you’re already offering something that people want, good design will help them notice it and set you apart from the competition.

Whether you’re looking for a new brand identity, some posters, social media posts, publications, or more, a strong and consistent visual identity will mean your loyal customer’s won’t forget you, and you’ll draw some new ones in too.

Should I want until my company is bigger?

Probably not. Good design could be the catalyst you need for your business to grow, if you keep waiting you could be missing more and more opportunities.

You need design for where you want to grow too, not where you’ve been.

How much do your services cost?

Because we offer a range of services, the costs differ between them.

If you get in touch with a description of what you’re looking for we’ll be able to give you a rough quote, and after a few emails or a quick call we can get all the information we need for a final quote.

We also offer discounts for charities, non-profits, and some other organisations.

What if my budget is too small for the quote?

If our quote is higher than you are budgeting for, we can have a look at why the quote is what it is and figure out if there is anywhere that can be cut back on.

It could also help cut costs if you can be more flexible on timeframe or number of revisions.

Can’t I just use AI to get a design for free?

Not if you want it to do it’s job properly. Making logos, posters, flyers, or any other designs with Generative AI will lead to inconsistencies, mistakes, and possibly even copyright issues.

AI cannot replace human creativity, even Chat GPT’s brand identity and design was made by humans.

Can’t I do it myself in Canva?

You could, but if you’re not a designer it probably won’t meet the standard you’re looking for.

Chances are you’re in a competitive market, so you need designs that stand out and shine above your competition, not something that easily blends in or even falls short of the others.

Also, if you made a logo in Canva you don’t own the copyright to that design, whereas with us that is transferred to you upon receipt of the final payment.

How long will it take?

It depends on what you’re looking for.

A new brand identity will often take 4-6 weeks to complete, including some revisions.
For a single poster design, it’ll usually be closer to 1-3 weeks, while a series of posters or entire campaign will take longer.
Social media content can usually be done in around a week, with motion graphics taking a tad longer.
And publication design really varies depending on the length of publication and style.

What if I don’t like the design?

Our standard Terms of Service include 3 revisions (plus review of initial concepts on branding and logo designs), this makes the design process more collaborative and gives ample opportunity to feedback and suggest changes to designs.

If you’d like to see initial concepts on other services like poster or digital marketing designs please let us know, but please be aware it may add to the project costs and timeline.

To get started, Contact Us with some information about your project. It’s best to include what service you’re looking for, if you have any timeline restraints, if you have any existing branding that needs to be kept consistent, and some general information about your business or organisation.

If we need any other details to provide a quote we can ask then, and get a quote to you as soon as possible from there.
